A New Year's Party Crawl all over SL

A wonderful chain of events occurred throughout most of Second Life yesterday. Starting roughly at 1400 HRS in the time zone my alter ego occupies, New Year Celebrations were occurring everywhere! My typist had his own, RL events and activities to share, including welcoming visitors throughout the day and preparing hors d'ouevers and drinks and such. However, I did have opportunity to slip in to world now and then, here and there. There were parties in Dublin, Calleta, Steelhead, Cartaigh, as well as a huge one in Penzance that spanned several time zones. I adopted a rather nice Venetian style party outift called "Illusions" by Bauta. I was quite pleased with it.

Apparently, so were the contest holders at the London New Year's Party at Penzance, as it won first prize! On a practical note, the prize paid for the costume handily, with the change being donated to charity. Not that I was aiming for that. :-D Thanks for voting for me, attendees!

I also popped in to Carntaigh to have a dance with my friends Violet Schabel and Eva Bellambi. The Carntaigh party had a distinctly scientific air to it; the discussion continuously delved into the subject of ape-women for some unknown reason. I had to phase out a bit to deal with RL fun (hooing and haaing and setting off fireworks, drinking champagne, kissing girls..). I came back in to visit the Steelhead party, where I had opportunity to discuss diverse subjects with Luna Elvejehm, Zoe Connolly, and Annechen Lowey. From there, my final visit of the night, back to Penzance, to watch the Western Time Zones enjoy New Year's Eve (the photo above was taken at the moment the "ball dropped" in Penzance). I had a most wondrous time, and was quite impressed with the party planning by the various individuals who participated.
