Tne Black Robes really want that priming powder from last week. Crash, oh, ONCE AGAIN, visits the iron citadel to wrestle with black robes, kick robots and kidnap professor Norton. They capture HIM this time, and tie him to the front of the Juggernaut. They go to ram the gates of the white citadel with crash as a hood ornament. Crash is saved by a cheap device.. Billy gets the drop on the bad guys. They all sneak back into the black tower in the Juggernaut, keeping Captain Hathor (Lon Chaney) as a hostage.
The black robes decisively prove that if something is worth doing, it's worth doing in a mob. Mobs here, mobs there! march march march, charge! Ride horses in packs, and above all, wrestle!
The Professor, of course, is somewhat mushbrained.. and doesn't want to be rescued. TWICE he biffs Crash in the head with a hammer. Some gratitude!
Meanwhile cheaplaffs 1 and cheaplaffs 2, the crew of the submarine that got capture (hey, remember them?) try a ruse to escape their confinement. Alas, it wasn't clever, and it wasn't great comedic relief.
Crash and Billy manage to capture the Professor against his will and they escape in the VolPlane (a nifty flying pulp thing). Of course, Chapter 9 ends with yet another flying weenie being fired in Crash's direction, and they get sent to certain death.. or do they? TUNE IN NEXT WEEK! Episode 10 (The Fall of Atlantis) and 11 next Tuesday. On Thursday, Second Life willing, we will show the final chapter 12, and Chapter 1 of ZORRO'S FIGHTING LEGION!
