(image: Kandace Commons)I find this fascinating from a technical view, tragic from the viewpoint of interpersonal relations. Perhaps the pieces are manipulated, stop motion style, to achieve the simulation of an explosion, but I can't see anyone bothering to do this...

This is actually easier to accomplish than one may think: simply set all the prims to "physical", de-link them, and stand back!
Not terribly good for the physics engine (or at least, the old physics engine), but a spectacular effect nonetheless.

I actually have a script that you can put into prims to set their positions before the 'crash' - then, after they do come crashing down, simply speak a command and zoom - everything returns to it's original position so you can knock it down again.,
I wish I could remember the name of the creator and name of the script, but I'm not in-world right now LOL

You were absent from the festivities when Frau Tensai blew up the saloon. I have pictures I can show you, and she can tell you the details of her ordnance. More complex than the Boyarina's method, but also more controlled in an urban circumstance.
